Work it out:

based on £45K per year
£865 per week

(60 hour weeks)
£14.42 per hour - are you happy with this?

Then think are you happy with this with using your own vehicle and the mileage rate they offered.

As a guide - Tyres last about 10,000 miles when driven tidy at the correct speed, correct pressure, etc, etc, etc

Average van tyre costs £80 - £100 fitted (each)
4 tyres doing 30K per year = £1,200 just on tyres

Services = £150 every 10K miles
= £450

Insurance = £800 (must be with that mileage)

Fuel = £0.30 per mile = £9,000 (30K miles)
They pay (at the above rates) = £9,500

You are paying £10,650 per year on your van (not including Tax, MOT, Repairs - could be over £15,000 per year)
You are being paid £9,500 per year

Plus don't forget this job would include you putting your neck on the line every day (signing off your sparks work).

Make sure you put the offer in that suits you and not them
Personally I would ask for 45K using a company van or 50K using my van
