About 40 a day, your an apprentice in theory, paper is nothing without experience. I'm a second year and am about to start level 3, 40 is what i get after tax.

I would like to see someone learn what i know from the last 3 years in 12 weeks...dear god. It took me all day today just to learn 3 phase phasor diagrams etc etc

Why am i wasting my time at college!? lol[/QUOtTE]

I often ask myself exactly the same thing, Last year I did level 2 full time at college as NO-ONE is allowed to fastrac this course, This year im doing level 3 part time with numerous new faces who apparently got fast tracked on Level 2 last year on a night course, NO ONE told me about a night course otherwise I wouldnt have given up a full time job to go to college......These college are just businesses who sell their souls to the highest bidder!!

they insisted on calling them Aargand Diagrams when I was doing it LOL, I put phasor and they marked it wrong....then went on another course and they liked them being called Phasor Diagrams......All Smokers Take Coffee LOL:cool:

I did my level 2 and 3 before finding an job, and my employer started me off on the £5.67ph, after a year it went to 6.87, then i was ment to go up to approx 8.50ph but we all got made redundent after tupee to Connaught :/ i found a job within 3 weeks i needed to accept the 1st job i was offered cos the college was threatening to take me off the NVQ framework and he paid me 4.92 (NMW im only 20). he got rid of me after 3 months, 3 weeks later ive accepted another job offer, for £8.93ph for the first 6 months then itll raise to arround £10ph then it'll go to their electricians rate of £12.93 and £14 if i get my 2391, which theyll fund because im an apprentice. I'm no further forward since September in completing the NVQ because the college has been mucking me about trying to remove me from the framework, my union has said if things dont set off with this new employer theyll find me a new training provider.

The employer i worked for, for 3 months only pays his full time electricians £6.50, i'll never work for under £10 once i have my nvq and that.
