I think its 4 times a year, but im not sure? Im in my 7th year as a spark now and currently at college doing 2330 and nvq L3 . Ive got my 17th in june so i was hoping there was 1 running in june or july.

they are held on i think its the last wednesday in every month.....hense the numerous threads in here about `this months 2391 results`..
hope this helps...and if you are going to undertake this course....then dont forget...GN3, GN3 and GN3 again....keep in them books......

Usually on a Thursday don't think they do the exams every month, although they do do one round June or July. Not sure when but the 2391 is being replaced soon.

As a general rule the 2391 lasts 10 weeks not including half term week or exams, which is about a term. That makes it 3 a year.
the C&G 2391 is delivered as a 5 day course. The exams for this (theres 2 of em)....are usually held a few weeks after (for the practical)....and the last wednesday evening at 6:30 PM start sharp in the last week of the month......thats when the papers are delivered to the training centres around the country from C&G HQ in london.....when the papers for that month reach their destinations they are immediately placed in a safe and only brought out directly before candidates start.....after the exam time has lapsed the completed? papers are then placed back into the safe....ready for marking down at C&G HQ. There are three guys who mark these papers.....they are also marked twice to ensure that nothing slips through the net ...hence the long waiting time between sitting the exam...and recieving the news pass or fail.....unlike the pracical of course...where you will find out on the day as to whether you have made the grade....or not..

I did my written exam on a Thursday.
It was definitely a Thursday - I've got it written down on my calendar.

Presumably the exact number of 2391 courses run by each particular college are down to that college to decide.

I was in cef the other week and they had a leaflet on the counter saying ÂŁ395 for 4 days. I dont know wether to just do it at night with my college im already at. I do testing pretty much everyday but everyone says it such a hard exam .If you fail 1 part do you have to retake both parts ?

and another thing n all mate.....its only hard if you dont put the study time in.....believe me...people think they can just waltz into this one....you cant....its an exam of the old school....a written exam....non of this on line guess crap here.....its specifically designed to sort out those that can do it....and those that cant.....there is an issue i have here though.....its like this: some people who are wholly competent to both install, inspect and then test either their own..or others work to a high standard may fail the written exam purely due to exam tecnique...not and i repeat not because they cant do it or are otherwise incompetent.....and its not a case of spelling mistakes or poor grammar either as most exam markers are used to such stuff....it will be more about the content of the answer (how to perform a test both safely and accurately) for instance.....rather than spelling...... but some candidates just seem to fold when in an exam situation....and that isn`t their fault....there is of course also the other side of the coin.....people being accepted onto these courses by unscupulous training centres that are not to the level required and really will struggle in this one.....i think its a case of deciding when you feel you are ready as an individual....

Written exam is always held on a Thursday evening up the country. The course can be delivered in a week or in 10 weeks in the evenings respectively.

There used to be 6 a year, now with increased demand its 10-12 a year.
