So someone on here helped me with how to start getting my NVQ (using XS training) however i need to get work in order to fill this out, what would be the best method?

I have my 2330 C&G and 17th edition,

any options other than as an apprentice?

Thank you!

Check out the ECS health and safety test that you need to take and when and where it will be, book in for it and while you wait do some practice ECS health and safety questions - practice makes perfect. With out ECS you won’t get on site. Use the agency that you register with as your reference. Get agency Work as mate or improver.

Apply with agencys for either mate or improver work. Get your self either a cscs card or ecs card if you dont have one and you will be sorted thats the way i did my nvq. Also send cvs off to companys some do take on improvers or mates instead of apprentices

In reply to your post you cannot get the NVQ level 3 or apply for it without having the level 2 and 3 city and guilds 2365 which replaced the 2330 courses. Im not familiar with the 2330 qualifications but they have been replaced by the city and guilds 2365 certifications.
If you have the appropriate qualifications to apply then look at agencies who will take on improvers or mates and if im correct you will need domestic/commercial and industrial experience to complete the NVQ portfolio.

I did my NVQ a couple of years back now and as I was a sole trader as a mate, I was my employer, so they just let me sign both bits
