Ironically just spent today with a specialist felt roofing company and torching (hot seal) as shown on the Jual site is company used for flat roof felt penetrations, it's standard practice with mansafe (safety wires) and airconditioning units hold down. Just a case of getting it done right, they were more than happy also with the self adhesive cold flashing on a sloping flet roof, though obviuosly hot / melted bitumen offers a better bond between the layers.
- We've got an 18kW system to do on a brand new multi-layer flat felt roof and we'll be torching down about 120 special non-penetrating fixings that they supply and then partially ballasting the system. v.v. expensive, however the client has no option having chosen this roof construction if they want the warranty maintained.
