Hello,
Has anyone had any experience opening up a di-log dl9118? I can get the battery cover off, can remove the yellow rubber sleeve and undo the 4 screws underneath but the device still won’t come apart. Has anyone done this before?

Cheers.

Are there any hidden screws under any labels?

No don’t think so, think it’s just the 4 screws under the sleeve. It looks like it should come apart but there is a lot of resistance and I don’t want to break any internals.

Might be one of those things that has hidden plastic clips. Hate that sort of thing. Have you tried a Google search?

Will have another look, was driving me nuts. Had a google search and couldn’t find any Dilog tear downs or disassembly videos. Cheers

Difficult clips and short ribbon cables is how I destroyed this, thank goodness it was my own equipment.

This illustrates why I hate and never use SMT connectors!

Yes, you can rip off through-hole ones but that is a whole elevated level of WTF force to contend with.

That is very cool. It would be the end user software that would make that the absolute king.
