How to qualify?

What qualifications are needed to be classed as a qualified electrician?

Is the NVQ3 essential along with the AM2. Are these needed to gain registration on the NICEIC Approved Contractor scheme, or membership to the ECA.

It seems such a mindfield.

under pinning knowledge tech certs such as the 236 or the 2330. 2382 (17th) edition Jib want the NVQ 2356 although this is being replaced with the 2357 in June / July

some scheme providers also want the 2391
