We're quiet too - just finished the last install waiting on tenderhooks for the two we've quoted for next week for ... I think it's going to be Easter before anything kicks off again. 10% price drop will help :-)

think we've just done 5 or 6 jobs in the last 3 weeks. Probably going to be dropping down a discount band with segen now, which puts a bit of a dint in our ability to cope with the rate cuts.

Our mission to chase up old leads seems to be paying dividends though with quite a few quotes being sent out in the last few weeks for installs between now and July, so I reckon we'll have a reasonable trickle of work for April, and hopefully can fill up may and june.

getting really sick of all these deadlines and changes though now.

I had one this week and made good money on it and and enquiry in for a local care home- Untapped market me thinks.

Seeing Greg Barker Tomorrow- booked it back in Feb lol- called in sick on me first time.

I really don't know what to ask him now :)

It would be really good if you could make the point that each tariff change has lead to boom/bust demand levels and that this is not a "sustainable" way to run an industry and that DECC's own figures clearly shows this.

And the best way to get him to remember that would be to tattoo it across his forehead with a hammer and a 6" nail dipped in ink. If the words don't all fit you could just abbreviate it to TAWT (he'll be able to read that correctly every time he looks in a mirror).

This thread should be locked now and fixed as a sticky so that Ted's post doesn't get lost, in six years i cant' recall him saying anything remotely offensive to/about anyone.

Thanks cheered my aching bones this morning. :)

We completed our last install yesterday and got burnt in the process. Despite the enthusiasm of our suppliers who believe there's much life in the old until July I've had enough I can make similar money with less stress elsewhere now.

With two nuc's down (and more to go?) they're going to regret ruining the renewables industry. Anyone see that d i c k h e a d Peter Lilley on newsnight last night claiming shale gas is the answer to out prayers, arrogant k n o b.

Now you're making me feel bad about my use of invective. :35:

I am generally pretty slow to take offence at anything or anyone - especially online where it is so much easier to mis-interpret someone's intentions. But I feel I have no option other than to make Greg Barker and DECC and their abysmal handling of the FiT (and the Green Deal and RHI - an ever growing list) an exception to this.

and a worthy exception at that

Ah don't feel bad it cheered a lot of weary soles.
