Is everyone in the same boat? Scratching around for bits of work etc? Working full on for 2 weeks or so then a couple of days a week for a month? I've only been trading in the recession do I dnt knw the boom times. What I do know if I had a mortgage to pay I'd be out on the street.

You always get the odd lad saying he's "snowed under" etc but it's hard to believe. So how's everyone's luck are we still in crap street or is it just me?

nice one.

Tried getting in with a few letting agents round here, waste of time, had 3 jobs out of it, all of them turned out to be a bulb need replaceing, not going to cover the cost of my part p renewal changing lightbulbs!!!
well its the PIRs/EICRs....that we get quite a lot....so you get paid for that...then any crap you find you flag it ....and you get the job to sort that out...get paid again......

I once did a call out which was a duff light bulb. The customer was selling their house and I got the re wire of the new one they bought. He then recommended me to his friends for other jobs. That light bulb has brought me £5k+ of work. Never turn work down, no matter how small the job. That's my motto.
