BS7671 is now on its 3rd amendment. A British Standard can only be amended 3 times. Thats the good news then, it can't be amended again, so guess what? 2018 will see an all new version of BS7671, called the 18th Edition.

test the same RCD at home every 3 months. expect the times to be close to the last ones.

Do the results change much? I knew there was a reason to go and invest in a non-combustible enclosure and some o' them there new fangled RCD things!

Ahh, but L, you forgot the climate controlled chamber to ensure a consistent test environment for the testing of the tester as specified by E54 ... where are those experts when you need them!

It seems that BSI or whoever, have changed their minds in the last couple of years then?

I have just looked at a BS that was amended in 2012, and that was it's 4th amendment.

I'm sure there are others I use that have had more than that TBH, and some more recently.
