Some proper skill there. I tried working with lead filler on some car body work years ago, that is a skill in itself but the soldering is a whole other level...

OMG! Such skill...that tinning technique alone, all that lead and solder work, and no sign of masks for the fumes either!
Should've used some giant Wagos...

Excellent stuff Pete skills like that are all but gone. Place I was testing last week still had several on these cables still in use and all buzzed out clear even these in a duct which have slight corrosion damage!

Incredible workmanship, I've seen guys do HV joints, both live and dead that takes some skill, but this is a work of art!
Although i often think that when you see old Pyros too they dont even teach Pyros in college anymore!

That's because along with everything elese on these short courses it would take to long to teach, as well as costing to much, and hoping the unsuspecting Students never ever comes across any MICC in their career, sad but so true. I would hazard a guess some of the " teachers" have only terminated an MICC in the class room, on a bench, never in the real world.

Pyro was may favourite stuff to work on/with as well as building switchgear and installing riser units.

I was a sick puppy as conduit, tray and trunking work came a close second.

soldering is an art form that seems to be going the way of the dinosaur!
I was taught to solder in the navy by a master electrician and he was a real ogre if you did a poor job of it. many of the apprentices i had did not have any interest in learning to solder properly, but I wouldn't sign off their training sheets unless the could do it.
