I have a problem.I have 4 recessed spot ceiling lighst which I want to replace

with 4 mounted lights.

The obvious solution is to rip out the spot fittings and repair and replace with the new lights. However this result in a very messy job where 6" holes in the ceiling will need to be repaired.It occurred to me that if there were a connector that had an identical screw fitting to the spot lamp with 3 wires coming off that connector: Live, Neutral and Earth , then I could leave the spots in place and cover the fittings with the flush lights. Do such interconnects exist? I would be grateful for any advice,

I have never heard of such an adaptor; personally i would get a small sheet of plasterboard and some battens, use the correct size holesaw to make the 'biscuits' then screw these up and fill over. Would be safest way in my opinion short of replacing the whole ceiling

I've recently purchased a pair of these for a kitchen.

6 Downlights to be replaced, four slotted in spot on then realised that two above the sink were far bigger. Client said they have live in property for 9 years and never noticed. This obviously made me feel much happier as it slipped by me
