Hi
2381 has gone and been replaced with 2382
Many of my students go on to do 2391 with me
some do 2392 first, some dont
The EAL course, when coupled with a regs qual allows you to design, install, test and certify your own work in a domestic premises
it also qualifies you to join a competent persons scheme such as NICEIC's
There is a lot of misconception about the course, particualary from 'full' sparks
Bottom line is most of my students have installation experience before coming on the course, and are just getting a piece of paper to say that they can do what they are already doing
So if I take your course and hold 17th and reduced inspection and testing 2392 I can do any domestic installation and if I am a member of competent persons scheme I can legally certify the work. Further you are saying I am allowed to then do 2391 the full inspection and testing course without lvl 3 eletrotechnology 2330 and 2356? What if the student does not have commercial domestic installation experience does this still count. I came from an electronics/ computer back ground I was advised that the electrotechonlogy route was the most direct to being classed as a compotent electrician, are you saying I could have completed you course within a year with the 2382 and 2391 and reached the same goal? what about non-domestic does your course allow me to work outside of houses?
