i think faullt finding????? help

i think some expierience will help with this one...

went to put up new light fitting other day, the cable was installed by someone else and cant trace where its going?? i have no access without busting holes and even then i mighten be able to see where goes, how would you guys go about this as was embarrased when had to say didn't know where it was going, and this was after i used there money to buy new fitting..... cheers

Is there any chance they have 2 switch wires directly from the switch? If so they may not have connected the 2nd one and the 10v is induced.

Thanks guys i lack expierience in hide and seek , and the simplest way would of been to have just come off other light so two lights come on in one switch... But yes could be junction box somewhere and waiting to be connected, as i say i lack expierience and i was busy that day and didnt dedicate much time...
