I'll do it if there's ÂŁ100 on the table from you lot for Help For Heroes.
I know it's supposed to be a cancer charity but.......

There's a tenner on the table lads n lasses, the donor wants to remain anonymous. Come on, some of you must want to see a Geordie get a soaking

Tidy boiler you're right. It is ALS and our equivalent. The idea of the ice cold water is it gives the same affect that ALS does. Something to do with nerves and the ice cold water making them react in the same way for a few seconds...

I used to nurse a woman with MND and it is a horrific condition. Her mind was sharp and she used a keyboard that she operated by the blink of an eye. She wrote a book about the torment she went through daily and how people didn't understand how her nerves reacted. Any disease is terrible, but these neurological ones are just horrendous. I would happily donate to MS, Parkinsons, MND or any similar charities.

I can't imagine what it's like to have something like that but do believe eventhough it is a bit of fun, it is a good way of raising awareness

You have no idea how much I despise that worn out hackneyed phrase. It's completely pointless, I'm "aware" of a whole load of things but because I'm doing nothing about it that "awareness" doesn't mean a thing.
