Hi All,

Just brought a 1960 semi-detached house, and the front bedroom has this wire running along the wall.

Does anybody know what it could be?

Electrics are still original 1960.

I always find you got to be careful with the ginger, too much and it can be overpowering? I assume you mean root ginger, in the paste? I love a nice lamb curry, neck fillet is best I reckon.
Do you think we will ever find out about this cable?

Yep and not out of a jar. Root ginger & garlic mashed to a pulp, add a particular spice to a curry

Hand held switch used while in bed. In the fifties bedrooms it was common for a hand held switch to be dangling from a ceiling rose above the bed, so one could operate the ceiling light without getting up.
