I might be wrong (please tell me if so!) but are they going to make the amendment freely available as a PDF here:

IEE Wiring Regulations updates - IET Electrical

Looks like they did for the last edition, or am I being optimistic?

The official line is that the amendment will be available as a download but not for a good while!

There were around 700 changes affecting well over 100 pages so I'm not sure how practical it would be to insert the amended pages or even to have to cross-check between the amended and original versions.

How about an online (searchable) version with updates for a subscription? How many of you would opt for that at say about ÂŁ5 /month.

They're developing a server based product right now but at the last count, it was still a package of publications rather than being able to choose just one.

Package would suite me fine, if it's Elec Guide to building regs, OSG and the associated GN3 bundled with BS7671, that'd suite me fine. As long as it had a phone friendly version. Still looking for a cheapy netbook (without legs!) to keep with me.

Have you seen this package?
Including all eventual Amendment 1 updates:

Wiring Regulations Digital: Domestic (e-book) - IET Electrical

Again, not server-based so 1 license per PC/netbook etc.

No, I hadn't seen that. That's pretty close to what I'd like, but it's only the first edition + first ammendment of the e-Book if I read this quote correctly:

"Free update included: all e-books in this package will be updated free of charge to the new First Amendment (after publication), when purchased before 1 June 2011."

Youd think theyd get it right in 2008. What exactly does "amendment" mean.....

Lol, it's more addition than amendment, whole new sections and movement towards the Harmonised Document.

A line has to be drawn somewhere to allow publication-some of the additions were 2008 items that missed publication and ratification deadlines.
