face up. they did it for countless years, what's wrong with the rest of europe converting to our colours instead of the hodge-podge of use anything availabe as in france, spain, and all them new eastern european countries that have now fallen off the gravy train now that our £300 million / week has been cut.

Because the UK version is better. That and the fact it was done prior to harmonization.

Maybe someone will have the sense to remove the 230/400 nonsense from the books and have the standards actually reflect the fact that it never changed from 250/433
