selling them at £299.45 plus VAT potentially to joe public is not very welcome unless you are getting them at a substantial discount.

I've just emailed immersun to complain about that. I'd suggest others do the same, I'm sure they said they weren't planning to sell direct to the public, or advertise prices to them.

They are 'The Green Electrician' I spoke to them (TGE) about it a while ago , and they 'complained' they wouldn't sell anything if they didn't publish trade prices, they also claimed that if 'Joe Public' rang they wouldn't sell to them... yeah ... but that an electrician had to buy it.

In practice it would be dead easy to put a password on the site for installers only, so the above is just laziness/ excuses

They got a 10% discount for buying >50 , so that's where their margin is

These companies that adverstise their prices to Joe Public make an already difficult industry harder still. Maybe we should get a petition together and approach them to explain why this is such an issue.

Excellent! - Just got two more calls today for it, apparently one company has just emailed it's client offering to install for FROM £695 plus VAT ...
so the customers went on the Immersun site and called me as their local installer. I'll get the name of the compnay that sent the email out later !!

Found 'em BritishEco.com - a franchise for 'Renewable Energy Consultants" so lots of sales lead commissions to pay !!!
