Immersion heater only heats top of cylinder

This thread titled "Immersion heater only heats top of cylinder" is posted in the under the Solar PV Forum | Solar Panels Forum on Electricians Forums.

I imagine the manufacturers have put the label there because a 36 inch heater would touch either the sides, bottom, or more likely the indirect coil.
