Morning Chaps,

So I sent out FIT update letter couple weeks ago (a little late ) and included information about ImmerSUN. One customer is requesting the Mark2 (wirelss link ) ....so wondered if you guys have used it etc. Going to give wholesales a call to get a price if they can .....

I've been told wireless version not available until June!

yeah indeed our supplier said the same. I've had a good hit rate with my FIT update and sale pitch on Immersun (4 so far) however the guys in the office are questioning whether immersun at ÂŁ265 is there anything cheaper...I'm of the mind to stick with immersun but they want to look at alternatives. Has anyone done the research to come back with the conclusion that immersun is the best product ...?

Immersun have the best customer support by far and shipped over 5,000 units ....... also they are not a one-man band.

Others are all starting to come in at a similar price now, some started cheaper, prices have gone up and the immersun has come down a bit ...

Here's the list of proportional controllers that I can remember:

Immersun PV Water Heating, Solar Hot Water Switch and Controller Supplier in Lincolnshire, UK | 4eco Ltd
Wooldrige Solar PV heating switch controller
Solar Immersion SolarImmersion - Surplus Solar Energy Water Heater | (also at Intelligent Solar PV Immersion Heater Switch - Use Surplus PV Power to Heat Water for Marks I and II)
Intelligent Immersion Intelligent Immersion.
Solic 200 Earthwise - SOLiC 200

In terms of functionality there's is nothing to beat the ImmerSun - we've got a three phase configuration powering 4 x 3 phase 4.5kWp immersions (3 ImmerSuns using the inbuilt relay in 2nd heater mode) to do on Friday and following that we've got a 3 phase 6 ImmerSun system using the daisy chaining capability and inbuilt relay to power 28kW of immersions, 150m from the 50kWp PV system later in the summer. I offered these to all the above, only the ImmerSun could do it...

Use THWN if it might get wet. These wires are not sunlight (UV) resistant unless marked as such. If it was for mains voltage I gather it wouldn't...
