Don't want to trash all the optimism on the Green Deal threads but we're on the the cusp of ditching any hope of it delivering anything of value to us or our customers also.

Has anyone looked into or used any of the finance packages being offered independantly? We've had a look at a few but none stand out as the one to persue yet.

We Credit seem ok, if you mean you want to offer finance? i had the guy round and would have signed up if i had enough solar to warrant it!

To clarify i want to be able to offer credit without having to actually offer credit and all the nonsense that entails with the FSA/green deal etc. I want to work with a third party that i can trust to look after my customers and stay out of the green deal.

The interest rates don't seem to be very attractive under GD and there are just too many parties involved that all want to make a profit IMO. If its just Us as installer working with the credit provider surely we can offer the customer a better deal.

if the green deal improver is the following they may get eco funding

1. Pension Credit
2. Child Tax Credit under ÂŁ16,190 income threshold
3. Income-based Job Seeker’s Allowance, Income-related
Employment and Support Allowance or Income support
and one of the following:
o pensioner premium
o disability orsevere disability premium
o award of child taxcredit that also includes an
element for a disabled, or severely disabled, child
or young person
· child under the age of 16 or 19 if in full timeeducation
· include Working Tax Credit. Only private homes can benefit from theAffordable Warmth funding

So thats all of uk covered !!!!!

we've supposedly got something in place with we credit, but their leaflets and application form are all tailored for those with bad credit histories etc, and they've not got the solar specific stuff out that they had discussed getting sorted out. pain in the backside really, as it all sounded very good...

The sort we're wanting to target are people who have the savings but don't want to spend it at the moment given the uncertainties everywhere. If we can do them a PV system at 5-7% interest, they are making 10-12% back and they don't have to dig into savings, thats a winner...

Bad credit histories is a non starter for PV IMO...
