Had the call this evening, can you come out asap please, our electric keeps tripping out.

Turned up and saw this (haven't got my tool box out of the van yet!!)





He'd had an "electrician" install a new oven a few weeks back aswell!!

Just for fun I did an earth loop test. PME supply with no earth, meter was about 10 meter's away from the board run in 16mm T+E (earth cut off), nothing to the gas or water, was amazed to get a reading of 12 ohms. Put my clamp meter on and with only half the shop running it was pulling 54 amps!

Asked if I could just take the grey box thing out which keeps tripping!

You should really replace that 30a broken fuse holder carrier with a nice shiny new plug in breaker. I can see exposed live parts

I had a big job at an indian too must be some thing with indian restraunts and take aways , quote to sort it out when we did the one we have a meal for free for three nights on the run just make sure its not ramadam ,one of the biggest problems they dont seam to see the danger as long as it works its ok even found some halogen down lighters with the fittings wedged up with news paper

I'm afraid they have no concept of western standards what-so-ever. When it comes to electrics, it's something you nick off the overhead lines outside!!...lol!! In short they don't care, except when it interferes with there money income, and even then, if a bit of tape can sort it, ....then that is exactly what they will use. No matter what you do, or how little you charge, they will want a discount!! lol!!!
