I want to fit an induction hob and separate oven. The supplier says the hob (7.35kw) needs a 30A supply and the oven (3kw) needs a SEPARATE 13A supply
However a stand alone cooker with induction hob is specified as 11.3kw (which is approx 45A) and it states that it needs a 30A fuse.
My question is can I power both the hob and oven from the same 30A cooker supply or is there some reason for the separate supply?.
Many thanks for your advice
Dan

Welcome to the forum mate.
Did you not ask the supplier why they need separate supplies and what reg number states this?
I can't see why they would need separate supplies, if the one supply is suitable for both items...

I think it's a case of what the manufacturer means by "separate".

I would take it as, a combined oven and hob will be joined internally, so only one supply is needed. An individual oven and hob is not combined, so separate supplies will be needed for each one.

Providing it's electrically safe, where you get the supply from is up to you.

A stand alone combined oven and hob might have current limiting built in, i.e it might reduce power to one part to stop it going over it’s rated current.
