Hi guys just a quick question, i have wired in a 6mm T&E for a cooker and the client has ordered a 17.4kw oven with induction hob.

Is there any change for the calculation for diversity or is it still the same,,

hence 10a of total then 30% of remainder giving me a total load of 29.69AMPS because their silly kitchen fitter is now asking for two 6mm supplys ,,

An induction hob is just another type of electric hob (isn't it?) did anyone apply a factor to halogen hobs in their hey-day? (I've only removed one from my house never installed one)
I work it out to be the same Eddie, (presumably the hob is fixed to the Oven) so a single 6mm should be ok.

Edit: Eddie; out of curiosity just googled and apparantly (so the sales blurb goes) induction hobs are far more efficient so full power is unlikely to be used:rolleyes: But be careful if you have a pacemaker!(A get out clause by the manufacturer states "passes all emc directives but check that your pacemaker is correctly shielded")
