Industrial EICR guide

Hi guys,

I undertake lots of different types of electrical installations and every now and again a customer asks for an EICR, I must admit I feel I'm actually good at testing but I don't really like it...mainly because of all the paperwork.

I was wondering if anyone had any guides they use while on site or if they have any tips for speeding up the admin side?

As I don't test very often I use the NIC software, which is really bad in my opinion.

The only other thing that would be handy is a list of all the common BS numbers from over the last 70 years or so, I find that I am on my phone searching things in order to obtain the correct information quite a bit whilst on site. I want to make a handy pack to take around with me, but if you guys have anything similar knocking around it will reduce my Christmas downtime workload a bit!

Any ideas chaps? I have used the search function but could not find anything.

Merry Christmas!

There's NAPIT Codebreakers, that's a compendium of sorts with loads of common codes and guidance about coding domestically.

Sparky Facts has a few PDFs with BS codes for fuses, RCDs etc which might be of use
