I am currently 10+ years apprentice served industrial electrical engineer looking to do some domestic work, I currently hold level 3 2365 and 18th edition and currently working on my HNC in Electrical Engineering. I am doing to 2391-52 later this year. Is there anything that I am missing or need to do to be registered to NAPIT. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

Have a look at the NAPIT website and check out the documents that outline what you need in terms of qualifications to join the scheme. There is a C&G exam that covers wider building regs, as applicable to domestic, I can't remember what the number is but I seem to recall it being a requirement to do domestic. If I recall correctly it brings together a bunch of subjects, things like where you can and can't drill a joist and other stuff like that.

If you struggle to find it, give them a ring and have a chat and if that doesn't help, drop me a message (NAPIT member so may be able to find some of the documents for you to have a look at).

Electrically, unless you've been very restricted in what you've been doing, I doubt you'll have any issues. I would say the biggest issue with domestic is cable routing and dealing with the immense variation of materials and construction methods.

Whatever happens, good luck :)
