industrial report

Hi guys, My customer has been asked by his insurance company that he needs his electrics checked to validate his insurance. Firstly as there was no exact terminology used, do you guys think that a full EICR is required with every cable tested with full range of tests captured in the full EICR format. I have never carried out a EICR on this scale before but am familiar with 3phase testing. Its a smallish industrial plant with no records available. cheers

What size of plant is this?
Anything bigger that a back street workshop I would say you are well out of you’re depth.
My reason for saying that? You ask how to do the job on here.

Do they want remedial work done? If they do can you handle the job?

Can you cope with working around production schedules? I was told many years ago, we didn’t build this plant for you to play about with, we built it to make money. You work as and when production allows.

Think on.

They do need remedial work doing. Yes my company can handle the job.

I am already working around my clients production schedules. I have told my client if he wants a satisfactory report and get the report to his insurance company on time, then he has to shut down.

My client came to me with this request. I did not go to him for the work.

Will you need to grade all the equipment and protection aswell? current injection of ACB's and alike?

If its anything like a factory I did a while back it will be a nightmare, Dangerous Dave and Bodge it Barry were on the workforce and ALL maintenance and additions were done in house.
