1. you do not have to be in any of the cp scams to carry out inspection & testing. (as in . EICRs)

2. it's only of benefit when carrying out notifiable installation work as it saves you paying LABC exhorbitant fees.

3. notifiable works basically consist of: new circuits, CU changes and work in bathrooms, but only for certifying installations.

4. only consider joining a scam if you find you are going to be doing notifiable works ( e.g. as in remedials after your EICRs).
 
I think you pretty much have the answers in other replies.
In terms of economic sense - if you want to do notifiable remedial: my LABC charge £480 a time for leccy work! YES 480 EACH TIME! - At least Dick Turpin had the courtesy to wear a mask!! 480! ffs
