Hi, can anyone explain what the requirement is on the schedule of inspections when exchanging a consumer unit. Obviously
an electrical installation cert is required along with the schedule of test results. my problem is when it comes to the routing of cables
in safe zones; prevention of mutual detrimental influences? Can I take it that this is just noted in the extent of limitations section as unable to
confirm?

if unable to confirm, then it has to be N/V, with any necessary comments on existing installation.

To start with, limitations are for EICRs, not EICs or MEIWCs.
Secondly, the EIC and the schedules of inspections and of tests only refer to the work undertaken.
They do not refer to any of the existing installation.
As such, unless you have installed cables, the routing of cables would not be applicable, N/A.

As Spin says and also think about Identification of conductors. You may well be reconecting Reds and blacks, but as you havent installed them and the tails you renewed are of new colours then the box is a tick.

You would have thought they'd have a switch to flick on and off to engage an override. Not on each PIR but an actual light switch
