I have always been told/understood that the reference method for cables buried in plaster was reference method c (clipped direct), however I have seen reference made to reference method a (enclosed in conduit in an insulated wall). Does anybody have a definitive answer please?

This will also depend on the type of cable you are installing. If it is flat twin and earth, then it will be one of 101,102,103 or 104, look in the good book and see if you can work it out for yourself.

Cheers.............Howard
