Intermittent shock at kitchen sink

I was called to a job Friday past,the lady of the house and her children are getting shock's from the kitchen sink. First thing I tested was the sink live, no normal. I then tested the earth which is TT and got a reading of 97 ohms I then tested the 10mm earth going to the water stopcock no problems there either. I then tested the three trips that are in the DB 3
30 Ma trips and all disconnecting with in the times . Any body any ideas??

so you didnt check for potential on the sink then?

should check in reference to another earth say a socket etc or long lead to bonding.

it could even be static if its not often

There was nothing wrong with it while I was there, the lady was to phone me if it happened again, no word of her since Friday!!!

I told her that it could be static but she looked at me as if I was mad..

I had one once a few years back - tingling at the sink on a TT. It turned out to be an electric fence energiser that was back-feeding through the TT rod!!

is the sink bonded?

the flow of water could be generating static in the sink etx

Can you elaborate how the DB is configured. From what you have written, I am thinking is this three separate RCDs, or RCBOs in the DB? I presume all circuits are on an RCD, and these are modern RCDs and not some old Voltage Operated device?

Why? We live near a main road into the centre of a fairly large town and we're on a TT

I don’t think so. 2 OH line crews, 2 senior engineers 3 electricians on a similar job for 5 hours.

I found the fault 2 houses away without their help.

Probably lying on the floor with her toes curled up then.
