Discuss Internet Solar Panel Comparitors in the Solar PV Forum | Solar Panels Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Oh...too late... All should be ok for me as it's my other halfs iPhone
the first link is correct though, just 2years out of date....

At the risk of sounding argumentative, I think the first link is misleading. It makes the mistake of assuming that the most efficient panel is the best panel.

The first Solar Panel Comparitor doesn't suffer from "Solar Panel Efficiency Fixation Syndrome".

Click on any of the Solar Panel Comparitors filters in the boxes at the top or along the side

and it will list solar panels in order of the respective database filter chosen. ;)

But it automatically rates them according to efficiency when you first click the link and there appears to be no mention of temperature coefficients nor light curves. From this link, I have absolutely no doubt that a customer will rate the panel on efficiency and efficiency alone.

The second link rates panels according to the ratio between STC and PTC - I don't see that this is a great method of judging panels either, although I am prepared to be proved wrong.

Someone has created a tool that is in its infancy, that is useful, but could be improved.

I am sure the creator of it would welcome positive suggestions from people with more knowledge of solar panels.

Temperature coefficient would be a useful filter.

The first solar panel comparitor could benefit from a more advanced "solar panel size filter" too.

Solarcity what did you mean by light curves?
