Hi, I've been a member for a while and made a couple of posts but I wanted to formally introduce myself. I'm not a qualified electrician yet but have experience in repairing electrical installations in commercial buildings and have dabbled here and there for a number of years, particularly since my dad was an electrician in the 80s and has often had some project on the go. Before Part P he used to do all his own household wiring and is still very knowledgable on the basic electrical theory which underlies all the regs, so I do consult him for this kind of advice.

I'm now 24 and considering joining an adult apprenticeship scheme in Manchester if it is financially viable, so I can become a professional spark and possibly in future work on more advanced electrical engineering tasks such as industrial installation design or distribution networks.
