I have a risco gt480 keypad with a eurosec control panel. Everything was fine on Friday. Came back today after being away and the alarm keypad wasn't lit up and wouldn't let me use keypad to disarm. This caused the alarm to ring but sounded quiet like I had a power cut but all electric was on, so I turned the mcb off and the alarm went quiet.
I have opened the panel and the tamper didn't trigger the bell box. (Usually it does an I then disconnect the batt lead so bell box rings for 15)
I have checked all the fuses and none have blown. The alarm is about 5/6 years old and due to have batteries replaced.
Does anyone have any pointers as to possible fault?
I will have to bring my multimeter home from work to check battery voltage and transformer working ok tomorrow but just after bit of advice as I don't usually look at alarms.
Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place. I don't have access to the alarm section but I know a few on here are full of good knowledge on this subject.

Ps it's on my own house.
Thanks for your help

Sounds like standard lockup after power failure...if battery is over 5 years then it will need replacing, remove all power battery & mains...the re power by mains first then new battery...all should then reset ok.

sounds as though the panel battery is goosed. get a new one anyway, and check the charge volts. should be around 13.6V.
