unused zones is part of the Part Set program, It turns off zones when the system is part set.
In Full Set, all zones are active

No tazz i think your thinking of a different alarm. There is no full set or part set. You arm the zones you like. There are 3 programmes. You definitely don't link out the unused zones

There are 3 part sets, thats what I designed on the original accenta back in 96 at ADE. The G4 may have updated software, with a few added features. But the setup is the same. And you cannot switch out a zone, only in part set

There is no full or part set it's either set 1 2 or 3. I have no doubt you know more than me about alarms and this isn't a dick measuring competition either. I fit these and Just stating the fact

If you enter you code only, the system will time out, or exit terminate....this is full set
If you enter code, the press prog...1, 2 or 3....this will part set in one of 3 different part set suites.

Hence full set.....you wouldn`t wont to pre program omited zones in a full set. But can now see you next answer, that you could pre-program unconnected zones.....Something which was not intended, but may work, the problem would be the system wont set unless prog 1 is selected, due to open zones on code only

Hi
I have been doing my first intruder alarm its a honywell accenta gen4 mini. I am only using 2x pir sensors 1 panic alarm, 1 key pad, and 1 sounder. The first pir is above the entry/exit door so I am not using any door contacts. once I set the system the pir's are picking up movement but not soundin the alarm. I think its the programing that I have wrong but dont know what to set any tips ?
i think zone 1 is pre set as the entry or exit zone and this is what sets the alarm when your going out so you will need door contacts in zone 1 or unless you program zone 1 as a p.i.r zone

Note for op which may help.......if a zone is programmed as unused in 1,2,3 it will also be deleted as an entry/exit zone...
Therefore set all entry/exit or inhibited zones as used, then entry/exit or inhibited in flag menu.
Just a feeling this is your problem, after talking with onions
