Intruder alarms

Just wondered what the pro's and con's are of wireless and hard wired alarm systems.
Do some insurances state alarms must be hard wired?

Wireless you will have batteries to change. You have the nightmare/easy task of pairing up all the pirs.

Wired physical connection, easier to setup (once wiring in place) no batteries to change.

Depends on your insurance they will normally specify a "cat" not if its wired or wireless.
