Can anyone recommend an inverter for a 1Kw installation.

I am splitting an install on two sides of the roof, and one side has 4 250w panels.

The sma 1200SB is no good as the system is not big enough and the mastervolt 600 is too small.

Anyone know of a MCS certified product for a 1000w system?

You could have 2 soladins on 2 modules each or use the sb1200 but it will be slightly oversized. Depending on the modules though it will still work. Apologies if the sb1200 wont do it at all for the modules- have you checked it?

What's the total size?

Some inverters like the Power-One's have a large range that allows an input form 90-580V sdo you could put 8 panels on one string and 4 on another.
So if you had 8 x Sanyo HIT 250's on one side and 4 x Sanyo HIT 250's on the other, the PVI-3.0 would work fine.

Need to know the total configuration, Inclination, orientation, bumber and make of panels, then a solution can be found.
