Hi everyone,I'm newly qualified and have a question that might be laughed at but I'm confused so I need to ask. I noticed the other day some 13 amp socket outlets fitted to the floor, how is this not breaking the ip4x code

Ip4x = mechanical protection 1mm if you stick it the floor that shouldn't change. However if it's liquid protection... Sure you got that code right?

This I why I'm confused,ip4x is maximum of 1mm test prob for the top and sides and ipxxb is a 12.5 mm test prob for the front but the sockets are screwed to the floor breaking the ip4x code so how can it pass the initial verification

As per above from Dave. Swap to a 63A outlet and problem goes away. What gets plugged into it is not part of an inspection.
