Or has the standard of posting lately been not only appalling but screaming out loud "I have no idea what I am talking about", some of the questions are quite frankly disturbing, is this the Electricians forum or the Screwfix Forum?

Have fun.

thought you still used sundials in manc. :49:

second thoughts. bloody useless. it's always raining there.

Some leave me quite encouraged that I have something to offer ... and that as a ... I am not quite at the 'bottom of the dung heap'!

That said ... I quite agree that even from some supposed 'sparks', the standard is scraping through the bottom of the barrel!

There's no such thing as a bad question. :)

Just keep the response professional and I'm sure they'll start to use the search function before asking something similar eventually.

Often finding it not worth contributing. To tell the truth, I can't be bothered....and that's nearly as frightening as the general standard.

Hi,

I haven't posted for a while as some of the stuff by qualified sparks is quite shocking!

Likewise, I look in regularly, but I only post where I feel it's useful and recently there's been less decent topics to think about and answer.

do you mean qualfied sparks or Electrical Trainee's?

There's certainly one who I am sure is a Electrical Trainee but says he's a fully qualified spark......

Surely the art is to skilfully correct people without being offensive when you spot them advising incorrectly, rather than just not bother? We all have our off days.

How things are written and how they wanted to write it can often be an issue. Sometimes people mean one thing but as they get typing, it ends up reading totally different to somebody else. So it's always nice to check to see what they meant etc, surely?
