Hello all
Just booked on to do my C&G 2399 to add to my armory. I looking at going down the route of getting MCS accredited but, is it that tough out there as I have read some threads that seem quite negative about it all.
Your thoughts please.

Just done mcs, bit of a pain, mostly paperwork and quality managment bull but fairly easy.. Pay £500 and get easy mcs to sort it out for you, they will give you everything you need, expensive but saves one big hassle. P.S dont forget your quaranteen area and quartery meetings and a list of suppliers you use and and and...... Bloody list goes on and on and on...... Good luck

Its a fair slog to get in and through MCS, but worth it. The hard part is staying in the club (well small companies anyway) As long as you are sorted on the business admin and keep on top of it, you should be good to go.

MCS manual done in a week, Quickbooks to track suppliers, PO's, invoicing and TAX. NO QUARANTINE AREA as its written into MY manual that I use another method!!! Meetings with youself are a pain, so I hold mine in a restraunt with my secretary (wife) paid out of business expenses!!!

Yes it's tough, getting MCS is only really the first bit - keeping on top of it is the difficult bit, especially with so many changes at the minute to suppliers, products etc etc. If you're going into an area that's already saturated then I'd have serious reservations. If you can see a gap in the market then it's a good idea as long as you're prepared for the long days. We rarely get finished before midnight and work 7 days a week.
