Hi all,
I had a discussion with the missus today - correction... she was moaning about the amount of time that I spend on this forum. Anyway she reckons that she could discribe us all down to a tee. We're all mid 30s and over, married, kids, pets, and ex school geeks!!!
I tried to explain to her that we have to have something to do whilst the women are watching all that TV crap, that they all seem obsessed by. I also pointed out to her that we use this forum to discuss an area of interest that appeals to us, the users. However she won't have it, and insists that it is just another symptom of 'boys and their toys.' Furthermore she rubbed salt into the wounds by stating that if we didn't have the internet, then we'd all be making model aeroplanes or something.
So come on fellas, lets prove her, and all of the wifes out there wrong, by posting exactly what we think of their b*t**y jealous and stupid comments.
The way that I see it, we have to have at least one vice in life. And to be honest I do find that this forum can be addictive. However why can't she see that I ain't out gambling - I couldn't back a one horse race, I ain't a big drinker anymore, and I hate drugs. Just what are we supposed to do after work then boys? Sit there watching that crap on the TV?

well for me, i'm mid 30`s two kids another on the way 2 dogs 2 cats, as for school i bombed but only cause i messed about, i lied about my grades to get on the course and i guess they never checked!!
weirldy enough someone did buy me a model plane for xmas, to the OP your mrs ever thought of becoming a psychological profiler!!

I'm 24 (just), did ok at school but could of done better if I could of been *****. Live with my gf of over 5 yrs, got 2 cats, and rent a lovely 3 bed detached house with garage in rochester. Just wish I could afford to buy it! She moans at me for being on here too, but I tell her it's gona pay for itself, as by using this forum, I'm becoming a more knowledgeable sparks.

Ex school geaks ? There are certainly some very intelligent people on here, but there are some who can't spell or punctuate and it is barely possible to understand what there questions actually mean.

My partner teaches English as a second language but she has given up on me.

36, married to the best women in Yorkshire, trying for our first child (no more late nights on here) 2 cats, rubbish at school and learning more from the age of 21 and thinking about going to university for electrical diploma. (if you said that to me when I was 16 I would have died with laughter). Passion for electrics, golf, food and beer what more dose a man need? Told the wife to become a member on here so we can have more time together¿?¿? But she has seen a difference in me since joining, I've made a few good friends on here, got a job with the help from people on here, increased my level of knowledge and the forum has given me the kick up the backside to push on for more quals, better paid job and a better quality of life style. Ken your Mrs isn't to far off at all mate.

She's about right but then again ken you too hit the the nail on the head they'll quite happily spend 2-3hrs a day watching all the guff that spills out of the box (the box showing my age already) should be the panel anyway then they moan because you won't sit and watch it with them, come on at least this is the real world

I'm 63 but when weather warmer I get moaned at for being out on 'that damn machine' (not a born-again biker ,always had one).
OR if not on here in winter then in radio 'Shack' being anti social apparently, I say at least i'm here not down the pub but there you go never get it right,
she's put up with me for 43 years so should be used to it, go play with the grandkids women, leave me alone!
