[SUP][/SUP]Hello again...

I have just bought 50m's of twin and earth (6242yh) from e-bay.

It was advertised as 4mm[SUP]2[/SUP] but the sticker on the front is a little worn and is not readable apart from what looks abit like 4mm[SUP]2[/SUP] (not at all clear though).

The reason I'm a bit unsure what size it is, is because on the cable it says (2 x 6 + 2.5mm). Different makes of cable seem to have different things written on them, but this kind of suggests 6mm[SUP]2[/SUP] with a 2.5 mm CPC? Doesn't it?

I have also tried to measure the circumference of the live or neutral, which is pretty difficult to do so accurately, but I make it very approx between 2.5-3mm. 6mm[SUP]2[/SUP] cable would have a circumference of 2.76mm (approx), whereas 4mm would be 2.26mm(approx), so I'm thinking its 6mm.

The only reason i'm unsure is that I wrote back to the reputable (100% feedback) e-bayer who said that her husband was an electrician and was absolutely sure it was 4mm[SUP]2[/SUP].

What is it?? :confused5:

Happyhippydad, I know that you are new to the profession, but for goodness sake make sure your materials are from a trusted supplier and a quality brand. Buying something as critical as cable from an unknown source, and then finding that you "think" it's not what you ordered is very unprofessional imo. We are talking about people's lives here!

Point taken.. Ebay for Star Trek DVD's, screwfix for cable!
