PMSL!!

yes, some inverters are IP rated. that looks like a Fronius, which is. HOWEVER, the isolators are supposed to be accessable. I don't really think this meets the description.
We have mounted a couple of inverters outside, but only where they can't be knicked!
You can't trim the rails becaus the last bracket is there. If you missed out the last bracket then the overhang would be too much. not ideal but as that lines up with the edge of that property then probably no choice.

looking again it isn't a fronius, not sure what it is.

Are the inverters IP Rated for outdoor use?
I believe it's a schuco branded SMA sunny boy HF inverter, in which case the main bit is IP67 rated, and the bottom is IP55 IIRC,but all the electrical connections themselves in the bottom bit are themselves IP66/7 rated.

Something like that anyway.

LOL - brings a whole new meaning to keeping the DC cable as short as possible!

Surprised they didn't stick the generation meter up there as well while they were at it. That would have reduced cable losses on the AC side as well. Could be read using binoculars from the house opposite so no problems there.
