was for caving. before that i had a lead acid ex-coal jobbie and an acetylene headlight that was as much use as an ashtray on spinlondon's M/Cycle

look i will hold my hands up now and admit to going to the pound shop for mine.......got about 20 mins use out of it before i threw it at the wall..lol.....will get a good one n the new year............

I've got an Energiser led headtorch, runs on 3 x AAA's and is completely brillliant as you hardly feel it on your head, lasts for a good 10+ hrs on a set of batteries, AND has this really useful red-light mode (why?, you might ask is that useful? Because you can make a hole in a ceiling, stick your rods through it with the light attachment on the end, go into the loft using the red light and by looking carefully can normally see the light shining through the insulation, no more pulling piles of hairy insulation around.)

:devil::devil: - had to put these, for post count reasons.
Neat, one of mine has red as well, never had a use for it before now :)

head torches are decent but for good general light why not use a couple of emergency lights, charge them the night before and give them an extra charge when you get on site, then they will be ready to give you decent work lighting when you kill the power, you can use them on any other jobs too,at the price just use and abuse them then get some more.
