Sucking, drinking eating asbestos is fine, just don't breathe it.

TBH I have done loads of work with it in the past, now I won't entertain it.

I'm also too scared to go for a check up, as I am convinced I have been affected, due to several issues, and as there is nothing that can be done then I'd rather take my chances thanks.

DON'T take the risks, because if you do & get it wrong it's a criminal offence and could kill people in the long run.

It's not worth it, why risk your health or that of your family, children etc. by taking these fibres home on your clothes, trust me you don't get paid enough to risk the lives of your family.

How would you feel if your 1 yr old got mesothelioma at 21 because you carried asbestos fibres home on your clothes?...

To be honest we still come across old fuses and blade isolators with asbestos flash absorbers and we just just work around them without any fuss and disturb them as little as possible. Obviously we're aware of the potential hazards and take precautions if we deem them necessary.

Eh, i thought we were talking about those little strips of asbestos flash guard here, not drilling into ceilings etc!!

Pulling a fuse in an old 3036 board isn't as some here would have you believe, going to put anyone at undue risk. If you want to stop breathing while you pull the fuse that's entirely up to you. I've always just pulled them as and when needed, i don't else think much beyond that!!....

It's just pure scaremongering some of the crap that's come out with at times here, about the literary tiny amount of white asbestos flash guard thats found in old 3036 fuse boards. The pull a fuse and die jokers!!

There again, you may have a totally unrelated condition that requires treatment, and is being allowed to develop due to your fears. Do yourself a favour, and get yourself checked out.
