I got brought one by my company, not my ideal choice but they a skin flints so it was this or nothing really, we got it from RS.......

ISO-TECH | Test and Measurement | Electrical Test | Electrical Installation Testers | ISO-TECH Installation Tester

i used it the other day to try it out, i noticed it doesnt do a 5x RCD test, just half and 1x? this ok?

Also when doing a loop test at a socket it tripped the rcd, it says its none trip but there isnt an option for trip lock etc???

There is no option for doing a PFC test? the instructions aint great as it talks about RCD testing and measure the prospective fault current but on the picture of the meter it show a meter with one dial in the center of it, where as mine, the 3300 it has 2 dials???

With i'd got a megga now, although i'd have had to buy it myself so i guess i should be greatful.

Any help would be great, here is a link to the instruction pdf the RS provide.

For loop tests with RCD set the function selector switch to the 2000 ohm position which passes a test current of 15mA which is less likely to trip an RCD. If any in-circuit RCD trips, set the phase-angle selector switch to the alternative position, reset the RCD and repeat the test.

PFC readings have to be calculated from your loop readings and voltage.
