Hi guys its a most random one but worth a shot. Just looking to get my old vinyl out and bought a cheap late 60's record player, on flea bay but
Thing is guy now told me it got 2 pin. He said it was a set with amp the 2 pin are the flat type. Now am i correct in saying this is NOT old US?

Any ideas if this baby would work.? Thought maybe the amp took main supply and this lead just fed from it , which i know old gear did. What worried about is whether it US or not...
its a

anyway

thoughts be appreciated.

hope you all well

Yes. My Goldring Lenco 75 deck got wrecked during a move last year.
Treated myself to a new Sony deck at Christmas, it’s got a USB output so I can transfer my vinyl to CD.

HAve you tryed it yet? interested to hear what the analogue to digital converters are like. Couldnt you fix the lenco...
Still get ya hands on them ya know. and parts..........Surely not saying bye bye vinyl. ! hehe

No need to apologise. I would have to agree with you. as i am aware that most usb TT's are not delivering a sound true to its original. BUT all depends on what you want i guess. The Behringer U control i am alittle weary of too i must admit. They are the bottom end of studio gear BUt i have not heard the results from these. I mean really if your going for it a fairly decent sound card for £100 digital out to ya pc and cool edit, sound forge....depends on how precious ya vinyl is and how much of an honest representation you want .

What you selling. i buying...

Best i ever got was with my old kit before i came back to sparkying. i had a RME soundcard and a Logic pro 8 it rock and delivered u matched sound.
sadly but moving on i sold up studio left music in that way behind.

I'm a vinyl lover. Still buy it new and secondhand. Best recent buys were LZs Mothership four disc box set and AC/DC Black Ice.

I play on a Rega Planar 3 with RB300 arm and Ortofon Blue on a proper stand into an Audiolab 8000A MkII. I use the headphone output of the amp direct into my PCs soundcard (not "into" computing like I am music and cars so can't remember what it is, but it is a high quality one). I record and process using Audio Cleaning Lab Deluxe.

My best recent recording was of the Beatles White Album, borrowed from my uncle. An original in superb condition. It needed almost no digital cleaning and sounds superb. I gave a copy to a friend who is convinced I've just copied it from CD.

I copy my vinyl primarily to use as MP3s for my phone and to play in the car.

Nice i was going to go for a rega as i do play a fair bit of modern (er) stuff. and this was recommended. The Beatles white sounds lush, ANYCHANCE of a copy heheheh i got my mums copy of it but all scratched up real bad.
Hows the Audiolab? pre amp yes? I got a protect but yet to hear, as going to get this TT sat. I done loads of copying of my dance stuff from when i djed but now i cant stand all the boom boom and just init purly for the plastic. Gotta say love all music sad as it is im a bit of a 80's man , shoot me i know. ! Pop, Rock progressive and bit of metal. psychedelic too...mix bag. LZ mother ship sounds a beauty. !

I suppose when we've stopped spending £12K a year on childcare I might have some spare cash for some old bread or an old record.

Kids both teenagers now and never spent a penny on childcare. When the first was born my wife stopped working to be a full-time mum and we gave up all life's luxuries. My wage was tiny but we managed

Not when my big tool chest was dropped on it. Even the platter was bent! I’d just replaced the platter bearings and the tone arm knife bearings. Changing the platter bearings is a two man job!

I’ll admit I was in tears when I saw it!

The stylus were getting to £80 a throw.

But I’m on the look out for another one.

Yeah i have been selling on Discogs for a few years now.. my collection that im selling is mainly dance stuff, early house from 88 onwards, oldskool hardcore and jungle, bit of Jazz funk, few bits or rock...Just sold a copy of Pink Floyds Piper at the gates of dawn for £225. So far shifted about 1800 records, still plenty left, Product of my mispent youth.

I used to DJ a lot in clubs and Pirate radio and over the last few years i have gone digital as playing out at clubs these days its a lot easier on the old back not lugging round bags of vinyl.
So I have been ripping my vinyl collection and when i dj now i use Traktor on the laptop and NI S2 controller.

The Behringer soundcard i too had reservations with and yes im sure a much more expensive soundcard would yield better results but im happy with the behringer , the sound quality is more than good enough for me to use the digital files from my vinyl rips to DJ in clubs with.

HHAHAHAHAH yeah Same here selling on Discog's my mispent youth. Hardcore rave 90-93. Worth a bomb now. its slowly going. not bothered ripping it. I quit djing but yeay when my last gig was i was using heavily serato scratch and a mac book pro.

LOVED it ! Incredible really isnt it. time code . i was so chuffed to have the feel of spinning vinyl again with advantages of the digital generation. I had been djing on Cd's many years before that and when travelling overseas the cd's were the way forward. ONLY thing with serato/trackor etc etc is you have to have the set up right i felt. ie turning up to a gig half way through night to find no space for laptop or no access to deck/mixer cables was very annoying. Always meant liaising with club promoters to ensure they made the necessaries arrangements. Very few did. Still when i had running was smashing and people were loving seeing something new going on..

Still thats back then. now i jam at home with a vintage TT's some mixed bag. and a glasss of Red. lol
