Hi mate, Tools4trade are doing the 3.3Ah ones for £126 each if you buy 2 or £133 each. I have no connection to seller but have used them in past and they are good.

On a second note, I use the Bosch 36v and it is a monster. Years ago I got the makita 24v on offer from Screwfix with the 2.0Ah batteries but the Bosch is more powerful and the 2.6aH lithium batteries last forever.

It is a shame that it has become a throw away society. Stupid that you can often buy a new drill complete than replacing the batteries & charger.

Thats whats stopping me just binning it and buying new, the fact that there is nothing at all wrong with the drill.

Be careful with the "Replacement" ones. A plumber I work with has had nothing but problems with his. Could be worth paying the extra money for branded.

i bought imitation dewalt 24v 3Ah batterieson the bay, and they are brill. Seem tolast forever, and hold their charge well, (i dont often have to use my own drills, as im usually agency scum)

Took batteries to hire shop who are a Makita service centre. The reason they aren't charging is that as its a battery with a chip on and an intelligent charger, the battery has reached its max number od charging cycles. Makes sense as both batts have gone at the same time.

They also reckon that on a Hilti, you can't use another charger to charge your batts as the chips dont allow, how true this actually is i dont know

My Hilti chargers have anti theft locks you have to swipe a key fob over the charger before it starts to charge them. The batteries are paired to the charger so basically if they are nicked there basically useless :D:D

think i'll stick with my 12 year old hitachi, new charger, new battery cells, new motor, but it's still my old friend.

whatever makes you happy ;) Mine just goes faster as it's red :D
mine's green, so it's not contributing to global warming. having said that, i've just has to fire up a bottle gas blower heater in the garage as the washing machine is frozen. global warming my arse!
