Its done. Found the problem

Was up all night troubleshooting and rebooting and eventually found the issue. Sorted it out, upgraded. And I'm going to sleep.

It's ad-free till I'm awake too.

If you're getting double post issues clear your cache mate.

I ended up with a duplicate but that was down to the new layout on the phone. I pressed 'post' and it just came up with the same screen I had typed the message on so I pressed post again. I'm on the laptop now. I'll see what it's like on here.

Clear your cache on phone. Go to settings in browser (usually top right) and them delete history (select cache too). Don't delete passwords and login info as that's a pain..

Had already cleared the cache. I'll see what happens this time

Well it posted okay but don't like the way my screen then efaults to the (now empty) input box and I then need to scroll up to see the post. Not the end of the world though.
